Valerie Lemieux-Lloyd

Psychotherapy

Welcome. Reaching out for support can be one of the most difficult steps, and I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences and work toward meaningful change.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology Degree from City University of Seattle and provide services in both English and French.

I work with adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and work-related stress. I have a particular interest in supporting Veterans, military families, and adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, including intrafamilial abuse.

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal-informed approaches, and parts work, I help clients better understand their experiences, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with their values and goals.

Whether you are navigating the impact of trauma, feeling stuck, or seeking greater clarity and balance in your life, I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.

Psychotherapy services are available in English and French.

My Journey Begins

Valerie Lemieux-Lloyd Psychotherapy was born from my passion for a holistic, patient-centered approach to wellness, creating a space where comprehensive care and compassion meet.

Success Story

City University of Seattle Capstone

My Capstone explores the relational impact of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) across the lifespan, with a particular focus on how early trauma shapes trust, intimacy, attachment, and relational agency in adulthood. This research examines the profound ways in which childhood abuse can influence relationships at every stage of life, often affecting an individual's sense of safety, identity, boundaries, and capacity for connection.

By deepening our understanding of the long-term relational consequences of CSA, this work aims to help clinicians better recognize the complex and often enduring effects of trauma. The findings underscore the importance of trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and relationally attuned approaches to psychotherapy, ultimately supporting clinicians in providing more compassionate, effective, and responsive care to survivors throughout their healing journey.
